Emily Waldren, MSW, LISW is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who approaches her work with clients from a collaborative, strengths-based, and person-in-environment perspective. Ms. Waldren views challenges faced in life as part of a larger journey that help shape our individuality and promote meaning through our lifespan. Her goal as a provider is to hold a safe and confidential space for clients to explore the intricacies of their unique journeys. Ms. Waldren feel passionately about supporting clients through personal growth, empowerment, and the process in which they make meaning of their own lives and experiences. Her clinical work is always informed by the complex layers of culture that impact clients’ experiences.  

In her clinical collaboration with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, family conflict, self-esteem issues, life transitions, identity issues, and trauma, Ms. Waldren utilizes an integrative approach of Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).  

Ms. Waldren earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from The Ohio State University. Ms. Waldren joined the CWW provider group with having provided clinical services in private practice and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). She completed her clinical internship and clinical fellowship with The Ohio State University’s Counseling and Consultation Department. She has presented professionally on topics related to supporting mental health workers’ mental health and on the intersection between pediatric medical treatment and the role of clinical social work.
