Brynne E. Cox, MSW, LISW-S is a licensed independent social worker with supervision designation passionate about supporting women in their journey through emerging, young, and middle adulthood. She is also dedicated to partnering with neurodivergent women in their understanding of their diagnoses and how they may impact other areas of their lives. She takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach to helping women navigate issues such as relationship conflicts, parenting stress, work stress, LGBTQIA+ concerns, anxiety, depression, and executive dysfunction. Brynne utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and feminist theory in order to best suit the needs of the individual (and hopes to do so with some humor along the way!).
Brynne completed her Bachelor’s (B.A.), with concentrations in psychology, sociology, and anthropology, from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Her focused research at Sarah Lawrence College included deeper understanding of ethnographic culture of those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, understanding autism in society, and adolescent friendship dynamics. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan and a graduate Human Resources Management certificate from Ohio University. Brynne’s range of clinical experiences include working with diverse populations in outpatient hospital settings, schools, and community-based programs with additional volunteer experiences with people with disabilities and immigrant populations.
Brynne is a Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
